The role

This is a freelance role with flexible hours and real ownership from day one. We care about clear communication, reliable follow-through, and doing things properly, without overcomplicating them.

If you have an electrical engineering background and you enjoy talking to customers, understanding needs, and turning them into clear proposals, this could be a strong fit. You’ll support our Managing Director with lead follow-up, customer calls, and simple project coordination, working closely with our procurement and operations work across EU & MENA.

Title: Sales Engineer / Account Manager

Type: [Part-time / Freelance]

What you will do
  • Join client calls, take structured notes, and confirm next steps in writing
  • Translate customer needs into simple scopes, timelines, and assumptions
  • Keep a tidy pipeline: update stages, contacts, tasks, and follow-ups
  • Coordinate with suppliers/partners to collect information, lead times, and specs
  • Track open actions and deadlines and nudge stakeholders until closed
  • Help prepare materials for trade fairs/exhibitions when needed
  • Share status: inquiries, active tickets, blockers, and priorities
  • Follow Orbintis standards for data handling and client confidentiality
What we’re looking for
  • Electrical engineering background (degree, current study, or equivalent experience)
  • Strong written and spoken English; you can explain clearly and briefly
  • Comfort speaking with customers (phone/video) and asking good questions
  • Good organisation: you track tasks, dates, and follow-ups without reminders
  • Able to work independently in a remote setup and deliver on time
  • Reliable internet and a quiet space for calls
Bonus points
  • Basic commercial awareness (costs, margins, lead times) or willingness to learn
  • Professional email hygiene: clear subject lines, summaries, and actions
  • Confident with spreadsheets and documents (Google Sheets/Docs or MS Office)
  • English C1 (or strong working proficiency); other languages are a bonus
  • Ability to invoice as a contractor in the EU (VAT where applicable)
Benefits
  • Remote-first work, flexible hours, and clear priorities
  • Direct coaching from the Managing Director and exposure to real client work
  • Practical learning across procurement, supplier work, and operations delivery
  • Ownership early: your work directly impacts revenue and customer experience
  • Simple processes and templates (no busywork)
  • Room to grow into a more commercial or more technical track
